Akop Szostak vs. Erko Jun Preview: KSW 49

A clash between bodybuilding and social media stars Erko Jun (2-0) and Akop Szostak (3-2) will take place this Saturday night at KSW 49 in the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.

The heavy hitters both joined KSW last year after rising to fame in the social media world due to their involvement in bodybuilding and fitness.
Erko Jun, who brags an Instagram following of over 1 million, made his MMA debut at KSW 44 last summer with a devastating faceplant KO win over Polish action movie star and MMA fighter Tomasz ’Strachu’ Oswiecinski and he followed this up with a TKO win over the infamous Popek Monster at KSW 45 in London, England.
Jun embarked on his MMA journey almost 18 months ago after a chance meeting with KSW welterweight champ Roberto Soldic. After which he joined the renowned UFD Gym in Germany, travelling from Belgium regularly and often living at the gym proving his dedication to the sport while still managing his fitness empire. Now he faces his toughest challenge in the more experienced Akop Szostak.
Szostak made his MMA debut in 2015 with a TKO win in just 30 seconds. Since then the 30-year-old has been competing regularly since and made his KSW debut at KSW 45 against English fighter Jamie Sloane in a fight that ended as a no-contest. Like Jun, Szostak has also immersed himself in the MMA world while still managing his own fitness empire and regularly trains with some of Poland’s top MMA fighters and combat sport stars such Mariusz Pudzianowski, Jan Blachowicz, Damian Janikowski, and boxing star Artur Szpilka, and more over the years.
