Norman Parke vs. Artur Sowinski Preview: KSW 49

This Saturday night at KSW 49 we will see two worlds collide as Norman Parke (26-6-1) faces former champion Artur Sowinski (19-10) in a catchweight contest.

Parke is coming off the biggest win of his career. At KSW 47 he shocked a soldout Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland when he defeated former KSW welterweight champion Borys Mankowski via unanimous decision in what was a gruelling and intense fight. Mankowski bloodied Parke up in the first round before the Northern Irishman rallied back in the second and third round.
With this win the TUF winner has moved to 5-1 (1 NC) since his departure from the UFC and now he will look to keep his good form going and work his way back down to lightweight and a potential rematch with Mateusz Gamrot.
However, first he must get past former KSW featherweight champion and former KSW lightweight title challenger Artur Sowinski. The 32-year-old has been a stable of KSW and a fan favourite since he made his promotional debut back at KSW 14 in 2010. He has since went 9-6 while consistently fighting some of the promotion’s top fighters. Outside of KSW he is also a former opponent of Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov.
In his most recent fight he registered an impressive win over Kamil Szymuszowski in what was his return to lightweight. And now he will be relishing this opportunity at KSW 49 when he steps into the KSW arena opposite Norman Parke.

The event will stream live around the world on www.KSWTV.com.
