At KSW21 he will fight for KSW Federation for the fourth time. He participated in one tournament and won two extra fights. On December 1^st he will challenge Aslamberk Saidov for the vacant KSW welterweight title. He is a young and talented Ankos Zapasy Poznań team product. He is Borys Mańkowski. The twenty-three-year-old Andrzej Kościelski understudy found a few minutes to talk to us about his upcoming title bout and his opponent. Here is the interview:

I guess when you signed with KSW Federation you weren’t even thinking about the KSW championship belt. What does fighting for this title mean to you?

- Fighting for KSW belt is a dream of many, but I have always wanted to reach far. That’s why I was mentally ready for this chance already in May.

What can you tell about the path you had to walk through to get here?

- It started with a loss to Niko Puhakka. Fortunately, my performance was good enough to earn me another chance. My fights at KSW 19 and KSW 20 were really hard, especially the second one when I had to face my friend Rafał Moks. I think I did good and apparently I deserved to fight for the title. I’m thankful for that.

You are set to face Aslambek Saidov. Will he be your toughest opponent to date?

- I will be able to answer this question after the fight. Hopefully with a belt around my waist.

What would you say about Olsztyn’s fighter strong points?

- Good control on the ground is certainly his strength. He also has good ground and pound and sweeps.

What can you say about his stand-up?

- He’s not Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali), but he’s a good brawler.

Will wrestling be your advantage?

- We’ll see.

Many people believe that Saidov will be able to outmuscle you. What would you respond to that?

- I’m a pretty strong horse too. I’m also flexible as Aoki.

For your last bout you spend your entire training camp in Ankos Zapasy Poznań. Do you plan to visit other gyms this time?

- Training Camp in Wałcz will be my sole trip. I will have most of my trainings in Ankos and from time to time in Czerwony Smok.

Will you also use help of the wrestling Olympian Damian Janikowski?

- If he visits us, for sure.

Your last fight was really tough for you due to the fact you were facing your friend. Did your relationship with Rafał suffered from it?

- Luckily everything stayed the same. We talked about it and we are both happy that we had an exciting fight.

Did Rafał, as the one who lost, buy a beer?

- Unfortunately it wasn’t the right moment to drink.
