One of the pioneers of MMA in Poland Krzysztof Kułak returns to KSW after two-year retirement. On December 1st he will fight at KSW21 inWarsaw. This Thursday the popular “Model” visited thePoland’s capital city for the pre-fight photo shoot where we were able to talk to him. Here is the interview.

You made your comeback to MMA this September. Your fight in Ireland went pretty quick. Are happy with your performance?

- I’m happy I was able to shed a few kilograms and I’m pretty happy with my fight performance as well.

Many people claim that you return to MMA because you need money and that you are not one hundred percent healthy. Are these statements fair? Are your injuries healed?

- My health is very good, fantastic I’d even say. Everyone needs cash, the second wave of international crisis is coming.

You signed a new contract with KSW Federation. Could you reveal for how many fights it is set?

- I treat it like a one-fight deal. If I lose on December 1st it will mean that I’m not ready for such shows as KSW. Nobody fights to lose, I will have as many fights as I need to contend for the title.

Does your new contract differ much from the old one?

- Pretty much. It’s fresh and contains more zeros. I’ve learnt from my experience with one of the little organizations that you need to have everything on paper.

Have you talked with Maciej and Martin about your possible opponent for the December’s event?

- I don’t care who I fight. I’ve never been a fighter who picks his opponents and I’ve never declined a fight. I fought opponents who were ten kilograms heavier that me on four different continents. I can even face “Pichaczu” from Pokemon. I just don’t want any freak show foes. I’m not made for such celebrity fights. A real battle is what I need.

Michał Materla, Mamed Khalidov, Marcin Naruszczka, Daniel Dowda, Antek Chmielewski, Jay Silva, Rodney Wallace these are the fighters signed in the KSW middleweight division. Is there anyone who interest you the most?

- I’d like to face Daniel Dowda. A year ago at KSW 18 in Płock we told each other that we both wanted to make our comebacks in the rematch. In the next bout I’d like to face a striker to secure myself a title bout against the middleweight champion. Kułak versus Materla has to finally happen.

Do you count you will able to reach the KSW championship fight?

- Yes, I think and dream about it. I even have wet dreams (laughs). That was my plan two years ago when I was forced to vacate the tile. True men keep their promises and I will keep mine. I promised I’d return and I did. So all you insecure gawks, get lost!
