“Our experience is even” – interview with Mateusz Dubiłowicz
He hails from Wrocław and at KSW 25 he will represent the local Rio Grappling Club. His showdown against JakubKowalewicz will open the show and we hope it will be an exciting beginning of the unforgettable show. Here is the short interview with Mateusz Dubiłowicz:
Hello Mateusz. You are set to make your KSW debut on December 7th. When did you learn about the offer to fight in front of your hometown crowd?
-Hello. I learnt about roughly six weeks ago.
Were you surprised that KSW Federation picked you among other Wrocław’s fighters?
-Indeed, it was a big surprise to me.
You are set to face JakubKowalewicz. What do you know about him?
-I know we have the same height, he is physically strong and is a former judoka.
Is the greater number of professional fights under your belt your biggest advantage in this fight?
-I’m more familiar with fighting in the ring, but Kuba competed in judo for many years. I think our experience is even.
Tell us about your preparations. Where and with whom do you train?
-I train with my team in Rio Grappling Wrocław, additionally in Gym Fight and boxing club Maximus. TarielZandekuli prepares me in the boxing department, while MariuszKoziej and Damian Janikowski are my BJJ and wrestling coaches respectively. Also BartekBibrowicz is my strength and conditioning trainer and Krzysztof Gołaszewski puts it all together as my head coach.
Every fighter has people whom he would like thank for. Who are they in your case?
-I’d like to thank my family, coaches, my girlfriend and my friends.
