Another outstanding coach will join the staff of the 10th KSW camp. The best wrestling for MMA expert in Poland will share his knowledge and experience with the participants. Andrzej Kościelski the head coach of Ankos Zapasy Poznań talks about his role and explains the new formula of the upcoming camp.
Hello coach. At the June’s KSW camp Andrzej Kościelski will be one of the coaches. Were you surprised by this offer from KSW Federation?
-Yes I was! I didn’t expect it all.
The best MMA wrestling coach were that surprised? I do not believe it!
-I didn’t expect it, because I never competed in MMA. I have a background in wrestling, not mixed martial arts. KSW camps are oriented on MMA, that’s why I’m surprised by this offer.
It will be your first Camp, but at the previous one your understudy Borys Mańkowski was a part of the coaching staff. Have you talked with him about this experience?
-We didn’t talk in detail, but I know that Borys was very happy to be there.
You will be present in Giżycko for the last four days of the first turn and first four days of the second day. What can the participants expect from you. What techniques will the coach of Borys Mańkowski and Mateusz Gamrot teach them?
-If everything pans out, I’ll be in Giżycko for ten days, five of the first turn and five of the second. I will be focused mostly on wrestling for MMA. If the training conditions allow it and facility is appropriate, I’d like show some clinch by the cage techniques as well as attacks and defenses in the clinch position.
This year KSW Federation will allow professional fighters on their camps. A few names of more experienced mixed martial artists will appear in Giżycko. Do you think it is a good idea that pros will meet at the camp to train with each other?
-Yes, absolutely. Such camps were pros meet, train and spar with each other are the great idea. It’s been proven many times before.
How would you encourage fighters to take part in the 10th KSW Camp.
-There’s no point in sitting at home. It’s better to come to Giżycko and train MMA. Satisfaction from classes with Soszyński and other coaches in guaranteed. What’s more the presence of professional fighters ensures the high quality of trainings, so everyone should be content!
