The name of the second fighter, who along with Maciej Gorski will represent Poland in the KSW 14 lightweight tournament has been revealed. Artur Sowinski from Katowice’s Silesian Cage Club will battle for the Martial Arts Confrontation gold.

A fighter nicknamed “Woodworm” is one of the top lightweights in Poland. He has eleven pro fights under his belt with eight wins and only three defeats. He also had a successful amateur career. He won Northern Poland MMA Amateur Championships and took silver medal in Polish ADCC Championships in the beginners category. His amateur MMA record stands – twenty-five wins and two losses.
His fighting style is really appreciated by the MMA fans. His aggressive and spectacular stand-up skills resulted in many knockout wins, especially by his deadly high kick. Sowinski is also very slick on the ground, both on the top and on the bottom. He recently hold his own against top ten European lightweight Niko Puhakka. The twenty-three year old is the understudy of Silesia jiu jitsu pioneer and KSW chief judge Tomasz Bronder – Artur trains really hard and is focused on his goal. I’m sure that at KSW 14 he’ll show exciting and well-rounded MMA skills – Sowinski’s coach says.
