Best KSW debuts in 2024

 

Over 60 new fighters had their KSW debuts in 2024. Many of them proved an improvement to their divisions and some of them really stood out. Below are the ten new fighters that took their first step in the KSW cage in 2024 and have impressed us the most.

Laïd Zerhouni

Laïd Zerhouni has four KSW fights under his belt. They all took place in 2024 and they all secured him a bonus. Originally from Algeria and representing France, this fighter is a guarantee of excitement and quick finishes. He debuted in January of 2024 by instantly knocking out Bartosz Fabiński in the 12th second of the fight. In the second fight which took place at the first KSW event in Paris, he submitted Boubacar Niakaté in the first round as well. Laïd fought for the third time in September this year, but this time he had to recognize the superiority of Radosław Paczuszki. However, their fight was so spectacular that it was named the fight of the night. In December, Laïd fought for the fourth time and he knocked out Alain Van Der Merckt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bruno Azevedo

The experienced Bruno Azevedo debuted in KSW with a bang in August. At KSW 97, he submitted Oleksij Polishchuk and received the bonus for the submission of the night. The popular “Macaco” is a BJJ black belt and he utilizes his skills perfectly in his fights. He had as many as seventeen finishes in his career and 15 of them were submissions. 8 times he secured his victory in the first round. In his next bout taking place at XTB KSW 102, he will be fighting for the belt vacated by Jakub Wikłacz.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kacper Formela

Kacper Formela had a successful debut in KSW in May of last year. At XTB KSW 94, he beat Ahmed Vila and landed on the fourth place of the featherweight division. This victory let him take part in the interim title match which took place at the jubilee XTB KSW 100. The representative of Mighty Bulls Gdynia Robert Ruchała but had to recognize his superiority. This loss interrupted his wonderful nine wins streak.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Muslim Tulshaev

Muslim Tulshaev has two spectacular fights in KSW under his belt. He debuted at XTB KSW Epic when he defeated Konrad Rusiński. Tulshaev won by knockout, using soccer kicks allowed by this particular ruleset. This bout was named the fight of the night. His second fight took place in August, when Muslim defeated Marcin Krakowiak in the second round and so he received the bonus for the performance of the night. In January, he shall return to the cage to face Daniel Skibiński.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maciej Różański

Maciej Różański debuted in KSW in October 2024. At KSW 99, the representative of Berserkers Team faced Vojtech Garba and defeated him by decision. The fighter from Stargard is a brilliant grappler and a BJJ black belt. In his career, he managed to finish 11 of his opponents and nine times he did so by submission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sergiusz Zając

Sergiusz Zając is considered one of the biggest young prospects in Polish MMA. He’s been a pro only since 2020. In his debut in August of last year, he secured a quick win against Kleber Silva who back then was number four of the light heavyweight division. This victory extends his impressive win streak to 7 bouts in a row.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Welisson Paiva

Welisson Paiva stepped into the KSW cage for the first time in July 2004th when he dealt with Maciej Kazieczko , the former challenger for the lightweight belt. This bout turned out so spectacular that it was named the fight of the night and Paiva managed to get the win. The Brazilian training in France managed to knock out seven of his opponents and five times he did it the first round.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ewelina Woźniak

Ewelina Woźniak has made her KSW debut with a bang. In January 2024, she won by submission with Aleksandra Toncheva and got the bonus for the submission of the night. Her second KSW fight was a close battle after which she had to recognize the superiority of Maria Silva who remains undefeated in KSW. Ewelina is known for her spectacular style. Aymard Guih

Aymard Guih had two successful fights in KSW. He debuted at the first KSW event in Paris and he beat Francisco Barrio. In his second fight which took place at the jubilee XTB KSW 100 he faced the spectacular Dawid Śmiełowski and once again managed to secure a win. Before joining KSW, Guih won two belts of the French organization Hexagone MMA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alioune Nahaye

Alioune Nahaye had a very spectacular debut in KSW cage in December of 2004. At the event in Paris, he faced Eduard Kexel on his six win streak. That bout turned out very exciting and so it was named the fight of the night. Nahaye can now celebrate another win of his career. Well-known as “The Jaguar”, he now owns belts of several European organizations.
