On Saturday night an important fight in the KSW light heavyweight division will go down as Ireland’s Chris Fields (12-7-1) takes on ’The Giant’ Marcin Wojcik (10-5) in a fight which could determine who will be next in line for the 205lbs title.

A former Cage Warriors champion and contestant on The Ultimate Fighter, Fields is a true pioneer of Irish MMA and among the first names to achieve success outside of the Emerald Isle. He made his KSW debut in his hometown of Dublin last October with an impressive decision win over Michal Fijalka and now if he beats Marcin Wojcik, who actually fought for the title in his last fight, he might just earn his place as the next man to face current champ Tomasz Narkun for the light heavyweight strap.

Alternatively, Wojcik aims to put himself back into the title picture this Saturday night after being one second away from escaping a submission win in what was a very well contested fight against Narkun at the history KSW 39: Colosseum event last May.
