After many years of unsuccessful attempts to pair two of the best European middleweights, the widely anticipated showdown between Mamed Khalidov (29-4-2, 11 KO, 17 Sub) and Tomasz Drwal (21-4-1, 12 KO, 6 Sub) will main event KSW 29 event on the December 6^th in Kraków.

Two most successful Polish fighters in history will finally square off against each other in the biggest indoor arena in Poland – Kraków Arena.

Khalidov versus Drwal match-up has been talked about and demanded by fans for many years. The fight was even signed once for a local show in Poznań back in 2007, but Drwal’s shoulder injury prevented him from entering the ring.

Taking separate ways of their MMA careers, Khalidov has become the MMA superstar by going undefeated in sixteen consecutive KSW fights, while Drwal was the first Pole to sign with the UFC and competed six times for the American organization.

Once Drwal returned to Poland, KSW owners wanted to match him against Khalidov many times, but the contractual issues always prevented the fight from being made official. Finally both sides came into terms and Drwal will make his KSW debut at the show in his home city of Kraków.

The fight that will determine the number one Polish fighter is just a part of the KSW 29 triple-header. Before the main event one of the biggest sporting stars in Poland Mariusz Pudzianowski will face judo Olympic champion Paweł Nastula, while the fan-favorite and KSW middleweight champion Michał Materla will have another title defense.
