In the second royal division bout of KSW 96, Viktor Pešta (19-9, 8 KO, 7 Sub), the number five of the heavyweight ranking shall collide with Matheus Scheffel (17-11 1NC, 12 KO) ranked as number eight. The fight will take place on July 20th in Sport Arena in Łódź.

Viktor Pešta has already fought twice in KSW. In his debut, he dominated Filip Stawowy, defeating him as early as in the first round and securing the bonus for the submission of the night. In his second fight, he went up against Szymon Bajor, the ex-challenger for the belt and had to recognize his superiority. Pešta is one of the most popular MMA fighters from the Czech Republic. So far, his career included almost 30 fights and he won 19 of them. He finished 15 of his opponents and 10 times he managed to do it as early as in the first round. The Czech is the former light heavyweight champion of Oktagon MMA. In his career, he fought for UFC and Professional Fighters League. Apart from Poland, he also performed in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Russia and Slovakia.

Matheus Scheffel had his debut in the KSW cage at XTB KSW Epic when he faced Darko Stošic, the former challenger for the heavyweight title and got defeated. So far, Scheffel’s career involved 29 fights and 17 of them ended with a victory. The Brazilian usually wins by putting his opponents on the canvas. He has 12 knockouts under his belt and 11 times he managed to secure them as early as in the first round. In recent years, Scheffel used to be a part of Professional Fighters League where he contented for the heavyweight belt. Before coming to KSW, Matheus fought mainly in Brazil and USA, but he also performed in China and Wales.
