Ex Chelsea Goalkeeper Ricardo Prasel makes debut at KSW 68
The sporting journey of Ricardo Prasel (12-3) is a very unique tale. Born in Brazil to a German father, he dreamed of becoming a professional footballer and attracted attention from professional youth teams when he was just a teenage.
His size and physical ability attracted the attention of professional soccer team RFC Liège in Belgium. He signed with the club in 2009 and while there he was loaned out to Chelsea FC in England. It was here that he trained with the likes of Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack.
After a stint in London he return to Belgium but injuries staggered his progress in soccer and ultimately forced him to retire in 2011. Soon after he discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and became obsessed with it and trained full-time in the sport.
However, in 2014 he graduated to MMA and has not looked back since. Within three years he was undefeated at 9-0 and a champion in the Brazilian Aspera league. His performance gained him international attention and he was invited to compete in RIZIN in Japan and on Dana White's Contender Series.
Now his journey brings him to KSW where he will face veteran Michal Kita (21-13-1) at KSW 68 this Saturday, March 19, live on www.KSWTV.com.
The 31 year old enters KSW with a 100% finishing ratio and is excited for his debut. It won't be an easy time for the 6'7" behemoth as Kita has long been one of Europe MMA's staples at heavyweight and has been in the cage with some top stars over his 16 year career.
