Now, with better-than-ever momentum on his side, Grzebyk is eager to flip the script and settle the score while pleasing KSW fight fans along the way.

In this exclusive Q&A, Grzebyk discusses the demons that tainted his 2022 title challenge, how he feels everything is now in his favor, his thoughts on the champion and what he has in score for Bartosiński on Saturday.

You've called this fight personal—what does this rematch mean to you emotionally and professionally?

I’m not focusing on the fact that this fight is the main event and a title match. I’m very motivated, focused and wound up. I know why I’m here and what I want. Our first fight didn’t go the way it was supposed to. What was missing was me keeping a cool head and some other things. Nowadays, I’m a completely different fighter with bigger experience who lived through many different situations. To me, it’s more than just a fight. My main focus is to beat Bartos. He can keep the belt to himself.

What is the difference between you in this fight and you back in 2022 when facing Adrian?

I’ve made some huge progress. I expanded my team, we really bonded in my last four fights. Now, it’s a completely different story. I’m very confident. My head is finally focused on what I’m supposed to do. I’m not stepping in the cage to earn money anymore, I’m doing it to win. My mind is working completely different now thanks to the support of people around me. We make a great team. Everything is just the way it’s supposed to be. Before our first fight, it was the exact opposite. I was a complete mess. I lied that I was doing great, but I wasn’t. Many things were going bad back then and I was sugarcoating it to myself and pretending that everything was fine. Nowadays, I’m a completely different fighter and man. First of all, I’m a father of a wonderful girl. This also has given me a different perspective, a different professional approach to everything. I underwent a major change.

You've been on a mission since that loss and have displayed dangerous stopping power. How would you describe the statement you have made to earn this title shot?

Victories give you confidence to maintain the same course. If you’re winning in a spectacular way, it gives you psychological strength and confidence. My last fights proved that I’m ready for any challenge KSW can put in front of me. I’m in the best point of my career with the best mentality I have the best team of people around me. Finally, I get to realize my dream about getting a rematch against him.

How would you describe the rivalry between you and Bartosiński? Has it fueled you more than anything other fight?

I don’t really care about what he’s saying about me. That conflict is not bothering me that much. The idea is to win the rematch and focus on what I’m supposed to do. It’s good that we have a conflict because it spices things up a little bit. This is an anticipated fight. The fans are waiting for it and we all know that the numbers just have to add up. It’s all working in our favor, but I’m not putting any pressure on myself. I’m focused and determined. I’m also very experienced now, I went through a lot in my life. I have faced many fighters. If only my mind works perfectly, then it doesn’t matter who will be put in front of me. I’ll be ready for anyone.

What specific weaknesses do you see in Bartosiński's game that you can exploit this time?

Every fighter has his weaknesses and that includes me. Everyone is playing their own game to neutralize his opponent’s weaknesses. He also has his weaknesses, mostly in his approach. He believes that he’s above anyone else, but so far he can’t even manage himself. He also has some chinks in his game, so I know what I have to do in our upcoming fight. Moreover, his fights are very boring and fans don’t enjoy them.

Does Adrian underestimate you?

Yes, he’s underestimating me. His lack of humility makes me happy, but I’m also very consistent and patient, so it doesn’t bother me. If he considers himself a superhuman, let him think what he wants. I’m focusing on doing my own job.

If you walk away with the belt at KSW 105, what does that victory symbolize for you after everything?

I think I’m going to be over the moon if I win this rematch. Rematches always motivate me more than regular fights. It’s definitely going to be a crowning achievement of my career. It’s the fight of the night of a very important event. However, I’m already feeling fulfilled as a fighter. I’ve really achieved a lot in terms of sport and that would definitely be my crowning achievement. I’m not focusing on the belt, but it would be nice to put it on my hips and add it to my collection. However, the most important thing is to have a great performance, remain in good health and please the fans. We don’t want them to boo and we all know his fighting style. I’ll do anything not to let that happen.
