Famous Polish actor Tomasz Oświeciński yesterday signed a multi-fight deal with KSW to fight in the heavyweight division. The 43-year-old is known for his role as ’Strach’ in the popular Polish action film franchise ’Pitbull’ and for a recurring roll on leading Polish soap drama ’M jak Miłość’ (L is for Love).

Oświeciński has been heavily involved in sports since and early age and was a Polish junior judoka champion. After this he focused on strength and fitness training and became a recognized personal trainer. Since the beginning of this year he has taken MMA very seriously and honed his skills at the WCA Fight Team gym in Warsaw, Poland, home to the likes of KSW fighters Marcin Rozalski and Anzor Azhiev.

The move into MMA is something Tomasz Oświeciński is passionate about and he hopes to inspire his legion of fans and to show them that anything is possible.

"I had many offers in MMA, not only in Poland. But only KSW’s offer achieved every one of my requirements. It had to be perfect time, good opponent, and also including the kind of money that makes sense and make me feel that turning all my life upside-down is worth it," said Oświeciński.

"I want to train and fight as long as my body can handle it. Now I have a four-fight contract and I’m pretty sure I will make all of them. My goal is to show to my fans that everything is possible when you train hard and you really believe in yourself. I’m too old to say I’m a prospect but I’m sure I can be the biggest surprise in Polish MMA."

Tomasz Oświeciński’s debut fight and opponent will be announced in the coming weeks.
