Five Reasons to watch KSW 43

KSW 43 goes down this Saturday, April 14 from the Hala Stulecia in Wroclaw, Poland and if you needed any motivation to buy the PPV on www.KSWTV.com then here are five reasons to!
1. Two of the Best in the World

The main event of KSW 43 sees two of the top prospects in the world at welterweight. Roberto Soldic (13-2) will defend his belt against the South African Dricus Du Plessis (11-1). At 23-years-old and 24-years-old, respectively, both fighters enter this contest on seven-fight winning streaks, all stoppages on both sides. Soldic captured the welterweight strap at KSW 41 in December with an extremely dominant and impressive win over the former long reigning champion Borys Mankowski. Funnily enough, Soldic was a late replacement for Du Plessis for this fight and afterwards the two almost collided cageside. Du Plessis comes into this fight as the top P4P ranked fighter from South Africa and is a two-weight champion in the EFC promotion.

These are truly two of the best prospects in the world at welterweight.

2. The Wrestler & The Mamba

A medalist at the 2012 Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling, Damian Janikowski (2-0) had a breakout debut year in MMA in 2017 with two wins over more experienced opponents. At KSW 39 he took just less than 90 seconds to beat American Julio Gallegos in what was his MMA debut and then this past December at KSW 41 he beat former KSW champion Antoni Chmielewski, a veteran of nearly 50 fights, via TKO in the second round.

This Saturday he faces a different and very tough challenge in the form of former BAMMA and EFC middleweight champion Yannick Bahati (8-3). The UK fighter is incredibly well-rounded and has the ability to finish his opponents with strikes or by submitting them.

3. Heavyweight Decided

The future of the KSW heavyweight division will be decided this weekend as Michal Andryszak (20-6) and Phil De Fries (14-6) collide for the vacant heavyweight title. 25-year-old Andryszak has earned himself a fierce reputation of being able to finish his opponents. Of his twenty wins, nineteen have come via the first round. He enters this contest on a six-fight-win-streak, including back to back wins in KSW in 2017.

De Fries is a UFC veteran and has fought some of the best names in the sport at heavyweight. He has faced the likes of Stipe Miocic and Matt Mitrione and has wins over James Thompson, Brett Rogers, and Rob Broughton. The UK heavyweight has a dangerous grappling game also and has registered eleven wins via submission.

This fight is sure to be fireworks!

4. Youth vs. Experience

One is a young and undefeated prospect, the other is a former KSW champion, and this is one amazing fight!

20-year-old Salahdine Parnasse (10-0-1) made his KSW debut in December with a very impressive decision win over Lukasz Rajewski. This was the biggest fight of his young career and he made a statement in it showing his ability to handle pressure, perform and get a win. Now he faces Artur Sowinski (18-9) in what is once again the biggest fight of his career.

Sowinski is one of the most popular names in Polish MMA and has been a staple of KSW for years. The 31-year-old is a former champ, has competed all over Europe for over a decade, and has wins over Kleber Koike Erbst, Fabiano Silva, and Maciej Jewtuszko.

5. Stacked Talent & Diverse Card

The rest of the KSW 43 card is littered with names and top talent from all over Europe. UFC veteran and TUF winner Norman Parke (23-6-1) faces grizzled vet Lukasz Chlewicki (14-7-1), top German welterweight David Zawada (15-3) will look to continue his run against Michal Michalski (6-2), and Antun Racic (20-8-1) will aim to work his way towards a title shot when he meets young prospect Kamil Selwa (10-6).

These fights make for one of the most diverse cards in KSW history.
