Gracjan Szadziński vs. Marian Ziółkowski Preview: KSW 48
An important fight in the KSW lightweight division takes place this Saturday at KSW 48 as the hard hitting Gracjan Szadzinski (8-2) faces submission specialist Marian Ziolkowski (20-7-1) live on www.KSWTV.com.
KSW 48 will be headlined by an interim featherweight title fight between undefeated French sensation Salahdine Parnasse (12-0-1) and Poland’s Roman Szymanski (11-4) with a co-main event between KSW legend Łukasz Jurkowski (16-11) and old rival Stjepan Bekavac (19-9), a rematch 14 years in the making.
Top lightweights Gracjan Szadzinski (8-2) and Marian Ziolkowski (20-7-1) will collide in a highly anticipated and potentially explosive match-up and this card will also see the KSW debuts of undefeated prospects Shamil Musaev (12-0) and Cezary Kesik (8-0), and highly touted KO artist Filip ’Nitro’ Pejic (13-2-2).
The pair were originally scheduled to face each other at KSW 46 this past December but will now lock horns at KSW 48 in this potentially explosive battle. Szadzinski is looking better than ever and seems to be reaching his peak as he has won his past three fights and is coming off the biggest win of his career - a devastating knockout win over UFC and Bellator veteran Paul Redmond.
’The Golden Boy’ Ziolkowski joined KSW last year stepping in on very short notice to face Kleber Koike Erbst at KSW 44 and it proved to be a task too far for the 28-year-old. However, he bounced back and showed what he is capable of when he has a full camp behind him when he out-classed former title challenger Grzegorz Szulakowski in his last fight.
