"He is like a Dragon Ball fighter" – interview with Krzysztof Kulak

Let’s talk about your upcoming fight. We published a poll on our site, where fans can vote on the outcome of your fight at KSW 14. The majority of mixed martial arts followers in Poland voted for your victory via TKO or KO. Are you also so sure of your win like the fans are?
- I’m sure, I’ll win, but I don’t care about the method!
Have you started your preparations?
- Yes. At the moment I’m building my conditioning base with KSW Lab’s Michal Garnys, it’s going really well.
Please tell me, how did you benefit from Michal’s advice?
- First and foremost I gained a lot confidence and an order in my conditioning trainings schedule. Everything is under Michal’s strict control.
Krzysiek, you run your own gym, you give private lessons, you are a referee on smaller shows and you attend seminars. Is it difficult to concentrate on your own preparations?
- Unfortunately it’s tough, but you have to earn money. No one will do it for me.
You’ll face Daniel Dowda at KSW 14. What do you think of him?
- Daniel Dowda is like a fighter from Dragon Ball, accumulated energy and inconsistency in his fights. I just hope that in our fight, he’ll have one of his worse performances.
You strategy in the Nobrega fight was perfect and you executed it from A to Z. “Kociao” just like the Brazilian is a ground fighter, so I guess your strategy will be the same, am I right?
- Every fight is different and this one will be different too.
Why won’t your KSW title be on the line in this fight? Is it your decision or promoter’s?
- It was KSW owners’ decision.
And what do you think about it? Would you like this fight to be for the title you won at KSW 13?
- Our MMA records differ a little bit, so I think Daniel will get his chance to challenge for the belt sometime down the line.
