The undefeated Ankos Zapasy Team product Jędrzej Maćkowiak will face Kamil Waluś on the undercard of KSW 28: Fighters’ Den event on October 4th in Szczecin. The 22-year-old from Rawicz will make his KSW debut.
Maćkowiak boats a record of three wins in three professional outings. Weighing more than 115 kilograms, the talented prospect last competed in December, when he participated in the 4-man heavyweight tournament in Lidzbark Warmiński. Despite breaking his hand in the first bout, Maćkowiak was able to finish both of his opponents in the first round. In Poznań, the Andrzej Kościelski’s understudy is a regular sparring partner for Karol Bedorf as well as the former KSW light-heavyweight titlist Jan Błachowicz.
After scoring three first round finishes in KSW, Waluś’ streak was stopped by Oli Thompson at KSW 25 last December. The powerful Britt earned a TKO victory over the Augustów-born Pole in the second stanza. After tasting his first defeat in KSW, the former KSW amateur cup winner moved his training camp to the United States, where he trained in the renowned Jackson-Wink academy along with several UFC heavyweights, including Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski.
The undercard showdown between Waluś and Maćkowiak will be a great starter before another three heavyweight bouts on the KSW 28 card. After these two square off against each other, Michał Andryszak and Michał Włodarek will enter the KSW’s circled cage followed by the main-eventers in championship bout Karol Bedorf and Rolles Gracie.
