The member of the legendary Gracie family Rolles Gracie will challenge KSW heavyweight champion Karol Bedorf in his first title defense, scheduled for KSW 28: Fighters’ Den event on October 4^th in Szczecin. The main event bout is set for three five-minute rounds with a potential five-minute overtime.

The Brazilian native, as expected, is a formidable grappling expert with four Pan-American jiu jitsu titles and silver medal at ADCC 2007 competition to his name. In his MMA tenure, the 36-year-old won eight bouts out of ten professional outings, finishing seven of his opponents by submission. Gracie is a veteran of world’s top MMA organizations, including UFC, One FC and World Series of Fighting.

For Bedorf, it will be his first defense of the title which he won in September of last year. At KSW 24 he stopped the judo Olympic champion Paweł Nastula in the second round of their bout to claim the inaugural KSW heavyweight championship. Fighting in front of his home crowd on the first ever KSW event in Szczecin, the hometown hero will look to extend his streak to five consecutive victories. The Berserkers Team and Ankos Zapasy Poznań product is undefeated since 2011, scoring dominant victories over Nastula, Oli Thompson and Karl Knothe.

The first Gracie appearance on Polish soil and the heavyweight championship clash is a worthy headliner of KSW’s debut in Szczecin - a city which has been Poland’s true fighters’ den for many years.

The star-studded KSW 28 fight card includes also KSW champions Michał Materla and Maciej Jewtuszko as well as eccentric kickboxer Marcin Różalski and deadly grappler Rafał Moks. The event will be streamed worldwide in its entirety only on www.kswtv.com.
