Krakowski vs. Dubouis to kick-off KSW 49
A potentially explosive lightweight bout between Poland’s Leszek Krakowski (13-1) and France’s Michael Dubois (10-6) will kick-off KSW 49 in Gdansk, Poland on May 18th live on www.KSWTV.com.
Krakowski will make his first appearance since his impressive win over top UK prospect Alfie Davis at KSW 45 in Wembley last year. The English-based Pole is 2-1 in KSW and now returns home to compete for just the second time in his native country. The first time was a loss against former KSW champion Kleber Koike Erbst, so now the well-rounded fighter will be aiming to get his first win in Poland on May 18th.
However, Krakowski is up against an explosive opponent in Dubois. The well travelled 26-year-old has competed around the world from Thailand to Russia to Abu Dhabi and has proven himself to be a dangerous fighter with a one hundred percent finishing ratio. Spending a lot of time at the Tiger Muay Thai camp in Phuket, Dubois has an ever improving striking game and is coming off a first round KO win over the previously undefeated Mert Özyildirim, the biggest win of his career.
KSW 49 will be headlined by Michal Materla (27-6) vs. Scott Askham (17-4) in a much anticipated rematch for the vacant middleweight title and Roberto Soldic (15-3) will defend his welterweight title in the co-main event against the undefeated Krystian Kaszubowski (7-0). Also Damian Grabowski (21-5) will finally make his KSW debut and he will face former heavyweight champ Karol Bedorf (15-4) and social media stars Erko Jun (2-0) & Akop Szostak (3-2) will collide.
