One hundred and six competitors took part in the 2nd KSW Amateur Cup which took place in Olsztyn’s Manor Hotel on July 7th. Up-and-coming MMA fighters were divided into two age categories (junior and senior) and eleven weight classes (The were supposed to be twelve divisions but the -87 junior category was scrapped due to the lack of competitors).

Two wrestling mats shaded from the sun by a huge tent located near the lake served as the area of combat. The competition was officiated by some of the best MMA referees and judges in Poland, KSW regulars: Tomasz Bronder, Wojsław Rysiewski, Piotr Wojtkowski, Cezary Wojciechowski, Łukasz Porębski as well as two KSW fighters: Jan Błachowicz and Łukasz Jurkowski.
The temperature of 30 degrees and even hotter atmosphere on the mats were the theme of the Cup. More than 200 fans in attendance were able to see many knockouts and submission victories with only handful of fights going to the judges scorecards.
The idea of the amateur competition held by KSW Federation was praised by many people, especially the fighters themselves and their coaches from Brodnica, Lublin and Gdańsk to name a few.
