"KSW Camp is an amazing experience" – interview with Michal Garnys

On July 17th in Mazury’s resort Jakubowo KSW Camp will commence with KSW Team fighters as coaches. It will be the forth camp organized by KSW Federation. Previous ones proved that interest in such activities is enormous and young mixed martial artists are willing to train with the best fighters in our country. What awaits us at the upcoming camp? What are the special attractions? The interview with Michal GarnysKSW Team strength and conditioning coach and camp coordinator will answer all you questions

What is KSW camp all about?
- It’s an amazing experience. The camp not only helps to develop your mixed martial arts skills under the supervision of KSW Team fighters, but also is a lot of fun in a friendly environment, what increases the chances of reaching the maximum potential of all participants.
Will this camp be any different than previous ones?
- Every camp is a little different.
So what can we expect this time?
- You can surely expect professional MMA trainings led by KSW Team fighters, great atmosphere, many people from all over Poland and abroad and obviously delicious food.
Is the KSW Camp also for people who have never trained MMA, but have a background in boxing, wrestling or kickboxing?
- At the previous camps there were participants with varied experience level in MMA, but there also beginners only with backgrounds in judo or boxing. We even had some guys and gals who hadn’t had any combat sports experience.
How does the average training day look like?
- Every entrant will receive a detailed schedule of trainings. The average day will consist of three trainings: on the mat, outdoors and one strength and conditioning training. There will be some attractions at the lake and you can’t forget about morning warm-ups. Greetings to Maciek Gorski, who always invents something interesting. (laughing)
At the previous camps participants where able to buy supplements and gear at lower prices? Will it be the case this time also?
- We’re currently in talks with some potential sponsors, but I think yes it’ll be just like as at the previous camps. There will be KSW Squad, Manto, Green Hill and other brands available.
Could you pay for the camp in installments?
- Sure. You make the reservation by filling the application form and paying 400 zloty. The remaining amount of money can be paid later.
What gear do participants need to take with themselves for the camp.
- Each participant needs boxing and MMA gloves, tapes, a cup, guards, t-shirts and trunks. However, the most important is willingness to train very hard.
Michal thank you the interview.
