British heavyweight James Thompson will fight a rematch against Polish Strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski in the main event. Rameau Sokoudjou is defending his KSW Light Heavyweight Championship in a rematch against Jan Blachowicz in the co-main event and currently Jesse Taylor is slated to fight Mamed Khalidov.

James Thompson is possibly best known for his fight against Kimbo Slice for EliteXC back in 2008 but the fighter is also a Pride veteran with a career that spans back to 2003. Thompson is 2-3 for his last 5 fights with an overall record of 16-14, Thompson last fought back in May where he defeated Pudzianowski by submission in the second round. This fight will give Thompson a chance to show the win was not a fluke and he is still a danger at heavyweight.

Mariusz Pudzianowski is a former Polish strongman who has won five World’s Strongest Man titles. A relative newcomer to MMA, beginning his career in late 2009, Pudzianowski has amassed a 3-2 record since this time, he will be looking to improve his record and avenge his last loss with this fight.

Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou has fought in the best MMA promotions in the world including the UFC, Strikeforce, Dream and Pride. Holding a 12-9 record Sokoudjou comes in to this fight following a controversial loss to Ryan Jimmo earlier this month by decision. Many thought Sokoudjou won this bout but regardless he will have a chance to show he is still a promising light heavyweight in November.

Jan Blachowicz has fought with KSW for the vast majority of his career accruing an impressive 13-3 record. Blachowicz will be trying to win back the KSW Light Heavyweight Championship, losing it to Sokoudjou earlier this year.

Jesse Taylor will replace Brazilian Paulo Filho in the KSW 17 – Revenge main event against Mamed Khalidov. 

- We’ve received alarming news about Filho’s health condition and we decided not to use the Brazilian on our show. Filho was supposed to participate in the headlining fight on KSW 17 card and we couldn’t risk him not showing up for the fight against Khalidov – KSW Federation owners explain. 

The best middleweight in Europe will now square off against the experienced wrestler Jese “JT Money” Taylor. The American has fought for the best MMA organizations in the world including UFC, Strikeforce and Dream. He has thirty-one MMA bouts under his belt with twenty-four victories and only seven defeats. Taylor competed against some of the best fighters in the world such as Tom Watson, Denis Kang and Hector Lombard. – Jesse Taylor was informed about the possibility of replacing Filho a few weeks ago, so he is ready to face Khalidov on short notice – KSW promoters say.
