KSW returns to Paris! A grand lightweight title bout that could be called Le Classique about to go down in December

On December 20th, KSW shall hold its second event in France. XTB KSW 101 is going to happen in the city of Nanterre, at Paris La Défense Arena. Fans taking part in the second KSW event held on French soil shall witness the return of the Parisian double champion Salahdine Parnasse (19-2, 4 KO, 7 Sub) who will attempt to defend his belt against Wilson Varela (12-5, 5 KO, 4 Sub), a fighter from Marseille riding a fantastic six win streak.

Tickets to the event will become available on August 5th at 10am on Ticketmaster.fr and the official website of Paris La Defense Arena.

Salahdine Parnasse is one of the brightest stars of European MMA and a true phenomenon in this world. So far, the spectacular Frenchman fought 21 times and he won 19 of them. In KSW, he reached for the belts of both the featherweight and lightweight division. The 26-year-old has been dominating one fight after another and he’s called “The Kylian Mbappe of French MMA” for a reason. In his last bout which took place in Paris, Parnasse managed to defeat Valeriu Mircea, thus defending his lightweight belt for the first time in front of his home crowd. Parnasse has been a part of KSW since 2017 and he remains undefeated in this division.

Wilson Varela is ranked as number two of the lightweight division and he’s been going steamrolling over his competition in KSW. He won his four last fights and overall he’s riding a six win streak as earlier on he defeated his opponents in other organizations as well. The 28-year-old from Marseille beat Marian Ziółkowski, Sebastian and Łukasz Rajewski and Gracjan Szadziński. He also received two bonuses for the knockout of the night. Wilson has 17 pro MMA fights under hist belt. He won 12 of them and six times he finished his opponents in the first round. Only two of his victorious fights went the full distance. The popular “Prototype” has also had a career in kickboxing which featured over 25 bouts.
