The best light heavyweight fighter in this part of the Globe Jan Blachowicz is set to face famous Cameroonian Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in one of the two headlining bouts at the fifteenth Martial Arts Confrontation, March 19th in Warsaw.

The Cieszyn-born warrior, now living in Warsaw, does not need any special introduction. He’s one of the brightest light heavyweight prospects in Europe, muay thai world champion and an absolute leader of Polish MMA rankings. Jan Blachowicz is coming off a September’s dominating victory over game Spaniard Daniel Tabera in the KSW light heavyweight tournament final. He returns to fight in front of the Warsaw’s fans against a world-class foe. – My preparations went as planned. I had my last sparring sessions this week. For the next couple of days I will train only once a day. I’m positive about the upcoming fight – the popular John says.

Blachowicz has never faced anyone of this caliber. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou also known as the African Assassin is a twenty-seven year old representative of renowned Team Quest academy. He has eighteen fights to his record with ten wins and eight losses. He fought for almost every major MMA promotion in the world: Pride FC, UFC, Strikeforce and Dream. Sokoudjou burst into the scene knocking out two famous Brazilians Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ricardo Arona. He battled some of the best light heavyweights in the world such as Lyoto Machida, Renato Sobral, Gegard Mousasi or Houston Alexander. In his last MMA outing the Cameroonian earned a decision victory over KSW vet Valdas Pocevicius in Israel.
KSW 15 bout will his second visit in Poland. A few years ago Rameau conducted an MMA seminar in one of Warsaw’s gyms. This time he comes to our country with a precise goal – he wants to beat our standout fighter.
