Europe’s leading MMA promotion KSW returns to Lodz’s Atlas Arena on November 26th with its seventeenth show. The KSW17 – Revenge will showcase some of the best Polish and international talent and will include three anticipated rematches. The KSW fans will once again be to experience excellent fights accompanied with topnotch production and presentation.

The best MMA fighter in Poland and one of the most spectacular mixed martial artists in the World Mamed Khalidov will headline the show. The Chechen born MMA star is set to face a yet to be named opponent. KSW owners are currently in negotiations with five different world class middleweights including Bellator standout Hector Lombard.

In the event’s co-feature former World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski will try to avenge his second career loss in the rematch with Englishman James Thompson. On May’s KSW 16 card Pudzianowski was on the verge of knocking out the Colossus in a back-and-forth affair, however, the Bristol fighter fought through the Pole’s heavy blows and submitted him in the second round. The former strongman promises that this time he won’t let the victory slip through his fingers. It won’t be an easy task, as Thompson proved in May that he still has the fire to fight his heart out against the local hero.

In the KSW light heavyweight title scrap Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will once again battle the best Polish 205-pounder Jan Blachowicz. In their first March’s 2010 stint the former Pride and UFC fighter outmatched the brave Pole, chopping him down with a battery of leg kicks. Blachowicz had to quit on the stool after the second round due knee injury he suffered from the accumulated damage. To prove it was just a hiccup, he easily dispatched Toni Valtonen in May and now is eager to take the belt back from the Cameroonian.

The number one ranked lightweight in Poland Maciej Jewtuszko will make his KSW debut in the clash with Artur Sowinski. The always exciting to watch Berserkers Team fighter returns to fighting in Poland after two bouts in WEC and UFC organizations. His fighting style match-ups well with Sowinki’s as they are both very aggressive and unpredictable strikers as well as slick grapplers.

Another Berserkers Team standout Michal Materla will look for another victory against experienced Matt Horwich in the middleweight showdown. Coming back from a serious knee injury, Materla earned two valuable victories at KSW 15 and KSW 16 besting Gregory Babene and James Zikic respectively. This time the bar was set even higher for the Polish submission wiz as Horwich is a true veteran of the sport and a former IFL champion.

The third rematch on the KSW 17 card will feature 185-pounders Antoni Chmielewski and James Zikic. The Englishman earned a very close decision over the former judoka at March’s KSW 15, however Chmielewski fought the last two rounds of the fight with a torn ACL. With his knee healed up, the two-time KSW tournament champion is hungry for revenge.

The battle for the Polish welterweight supremacy between Aslambek Saidov and Rafal Moks rounds up the seven-bout fight card. In March Saidov claimed the victory in the KSW 170-pounds tournament edging out Ruben Crawford at KSW 15. For Moks, a former M-1 middleweight title holder, it will a KSW debut.
