More than two hundred kilograms will enter the ring, when these two former strongman competitors square off against each other. Millions of viewers will watch them trade punishing blows in their KSW debuts at KSW18 on February 25th in Plock. Kamil Walus versus Kamil Bazelak showdown is another spectacular heavyweight battle prepared for the fans by KSW promoters.

Kamil Walus is a young up-and-coming heavyweight from Augustow. He trains in Warsaw’s Copacabana Fight Club, but also visits Marcin Rozalski’s gym in Plock. In order to be the best, he trains with the best.
In July 2011 Walus participated in the first KSW Amateur Cup. He was unrivaled in his weight division and won the whole competition. In October he decided to quit job in his brother’s sawmill to fully commit to his MMA career. After moving to Warsaw, he started to train under his longtime coach Lukasz Jurkowski on a regular basis. The victory in his second pro MMA fight in November, got him much needed confidence. Time has come for his dreamed-of KSW appearance. – Awesome! Since I started my career, I’ve always wanted to fight for KSW. It’s a dream come true to make my debut in Plock – former amateur strongman confesses.

Former bodybuilder and Extreme Strong Man competition silver medalist Kamil Bazelak will face Walus in the KSW ring. It will be Bazelak’s MMA debut, but he sports an extensive experience in martial arts. He competed in kickboxing, boxing, karate (he holds a black belt in sei budokai) and even professional wrestling. – I’m very happy for this fight. It’s my first step towards fulfilling my resolutions and keeping certain promises – Lodz resident says
Bazelak was supposed to make his MMA debut in 2010 when he was scheduled to face Marcin Bartkiewicz at KSW Fight Club event. An injury torpedoed this plan and his first bout in the sport had to be postponed. Fully healed, he will now compete at KSW 18 in Plock.

It is hard to foresee how the fight will unfold as they are both heavy-hitting heavyweights. They are looking forward to their first outings in front of the amazing KSW crowd. – Kamil is a big man. He does some things, but I’ll do more. He seems like nice guy, but the ring is not a place to show courtesy. I’ll do everything in my power to finish him – Walus promises. – I haven’t seen his fights but I know he won the KSW Amateur Cup, so I guess he’s not a bum. He’ll become a good scalp in my debut. I’m certain I will win this fight. What will happen next? I’ll fight against anybody KSW puts in front of me. I hope that with God’s help I’ll be finally able to face my “archrival”, whom I can’t stop thinking about. Beating Kamil Walus is just a step on the path to my ultimate goal – Vanderlei says.

It remains to be seen who will be victories in this fight, but the trash talk already promises some great excitement.
