KSW19 opponent for the best Polish welterweight Aslambek Saidov has been revealed today. The Arrachion MMA Olsztyn product will face a three-time KSW veteran Grigor Aschugbabjan.

Saidov is undefeated since his move to welterweight. He began his campaign at seventy-seven kilograms knocking out Paweł Żydak at KSW Fight Club. Later he won the KSW welterweight tournament edging out Ruben Crawford in the finals. In his last bout, which came at KSW 17, the Chechen-born fighter earned a unanimous decision over the number two ranked Polish welterweight Rafał Moks – I treat every fight as the most important one in my career. I want to become the KSW champion and fighting Grigor will get me closer to this goal – Saidov admits.

This match-up may be surprising for many fans as Aschugbabjan competed in KSW at light heavyweight in the past. However, the Armenian kickboxer made huge changes in physical shape and recently dropped two weight classes. He is best known in Poland from his KSW 13, KSW Fight Club and KSW 16 appearances. Fighting out of Vienna, Austria, Grigor has faced such fighters as Kontsantin Gluhov or Daniel Tabera in his professional career. At May’s KSW 19 he will definitely put on a good show for the fans.
