KSW20: Anzor Azhiev vs Dean Amasinger
The upcoming KSW20 show, on September 15th in Gdańsk/Sopot's Ergo Arena will feature one lightweight match-up. The Chechen-born prospect Anzor Azhiev will square off against Englishman Dean Amasinger.
For the 21-year-old Pole it will be his second KSW outing and only the third professional MMA fight. He made his debut for the Europe's leading promotion in February, when he dominated German MMA veteran Cengiz Dana in the exciting two-round affair. Azhiev prepares for this fight in some of the best combat sports facilities in Poland. He trains his grappling craft under Piotr Wojtkowski in Copacabana Warszawa and his manager Piotr Jeleniewski is his main striking coach. Tomasz Lipiński is responsible for his strength, while his conditioning preparations are supervised by Michał Garnys, who also works with Mamed Khalidov and Michał Materla to name a few. - Additionally I will spend few weeks in Arrachion MMA Olsztyn – Anzor reveals.
It will be Amasinger's third fight in Poland. Back in 2009 the Renegade submitted former KSW lightweight champion Maciej Górski. He returned to KSW this February and was quickly stopped by Maciej Jewtuszko. The Nottingham's Rough House standout has fifteen fights to his record, with nine wins and six losses.
This bout has all the making to be an epic battle. Both fighter leave everything they have in the ring and nobody will be willing to back down. Who will have his hand raised? The talented up-and-comer representing Poland or the experienced Britt? KSW 20 will answer this question.
