The first fight of KSW 24 - Clash of the Giants saw Mateusz Gamrot pick up the victory over the experienced Andre Winner. The fighters had a long feeling out period in round one. In fact, referee Lukasz Porebski even cautioned both contestants for inactivity during this time. Having been warned Gamrot moved forward, changed levels and took the Englishman down. Mixing up head and body shots he maintained ground position until the round was over.

The second round began with a quick combo from the UFC veteran. Gamrot answered in kind, finishing his combination with a leg kick and a takedown. Winner fought it off and the rest of the round was spent in the clinch.

Winner started the last period with a sense of urgency, charging the Pole with a series of strikes that he used to set up a takedown. Gamrot defended but this tactic threw him off as he decided to play it safe when the fighters reset in the stand-up. Having caught a breather Gamrot tried a takedown of his own but to no avail. Last 90 seconds of the fight saw both fighters trade but without anyone gaining significant advantage.
