We are sorry to inform that Jasminka Cive will be unable to fights KSW female champions Karolina Kowalkiewicz at the Saturday’s KSW24 show in Łódź. The Austrian fighter had an accident in the week leading up to the bout.

- I have bad news. Jasminka has just called me and she is in hospital. She fainted after taking a shower, fell down and hit herself in the head. After doctor’s examination it was revealed that she had a concussion. It is bad news for KSW and for me as well. Jasminka won’t be able to fight on September 28^th. I’m really sorry, because we really wanted this fight. I hope that my fighter will be able to compete in KSW in future, though. I will visit her in hospital today and we will record a video detailing her accident – Jasminka’s manager Cengiz Dana told us.

KSW Federation owners made a quick effort to find a worthy replacement opponent. In a few hours they were able to sign a 36-year-old British fighter Simona Soukupova, who will now face the Gracie Barra Łódź female star.

Soukupova is an experienced stand-up fighter, who just like Cive, fought for the prestigious female organization Invicta FC. Her current MMA record stands: four victories, two defeats and one draw. She was never finished in her career, while all her wins came by way of stoppage, two of them by knockouts, two by submission. Simona is one hundred fifty-four centimeters tall, weighs fifty-two kilograms and trains out of K.O. Muay Thai Gym.

Despite the late call, Soukupova should be a stiff test for our female champion. Both ladies love to exchange punches and are competent grapplers. This match-up has all the making to win fight of the night honors.
