KSW Federation announces the co-main event of the upcoming KSW 28: Fighters’ Den event which features KSW middleweight champion Michał Materla squaring off against experienced Brazilian Jorge Luis Bezerra in the three five-minute rounds non-title bout. The October 4^th show will mark the first time KSW visits Szczecin, a hotbed for MMA talent in Poland.

Materla (20-4, 2 KO, 12 Sub) is the biggest KSW star from Szczecin, where he trains in the renowned Berserkers Team academy. In his most recent outing, “Magic” completed a thrilling trilogy against Jay Silva, beating the Angolan striker in a fight of the year candidate showdown . In his first ever bout in front of his hometown crowd, the 30-year-old BJJ black belt will look to please his fans with another memorable performance.

Nicknamed “Michelan”, the 28-year-old Bezerra (19-10, 1 KO, 17 Sub) is a BJJ black belt under Vieira brothers of the famous Checkmat team. Being a dangerous grappling wizard and a deadly leglock specialist, the Brazilian scored seventeen submission finishes in his nineteen professional victories. He is a veteran of several European and Brazilian organizations, including BAMMA, Jungle Fight and Fury FC.

It’s a good opponent for Michał, especially for the first show in Szczecin, where fans understand and enjoy watching grappling battles – KSW play-by-play commentator Andrzej Janisz asses. Bezerra finishes most of his fights with various submission holds, frequently in the first round, what should make a great fight. He doesn’t like to exchange punches and looks to take the fight to the ground even if it means landing on bottom. He’s comfortable fighting from his back and particularly dangerous with leglock attempts.

Bezerra poses a different threat to Materla than his previous opponents in KSW. The long-awaited fight of the Szczecin’s hero has all the makings to be an unforgettable experience for the local crowd attending the October 4^th event.

The star-studded KSW 28 fight card includes also KSW heavyweight championship bout between Karol Bedorf and Rolles Gracie as well as KSW lightweight king Maciej Jewtuszko, eccentric kickboxer Marcin Różalski and deadly grappler Rafał Moks.
