KSW Federation announces that KSW middleweight champion Michał Materla will fight at KSW 28. The bout of Polish beloved MMA fighter will be featured as one of headliners of the October 4^th event in Szczecin.

For the Szczecin-born Materla, it will be his first fight in front of his hometown crowd in his ten-year professional career and the second bout this year after finishing a trilogy against Jay Silva in March.

I’m really happy my management and KSW owners came to an agreement – Materla says. I’m a local patriot and fighting in Szczecin was always my dream. I will be able to finally make it come true at KSW 28 on October 4^th.

The fans, especially those in Szczecin, were the biggest losers of the contractual dispute between KSW and Michał Materla. To satisfy their requests we decided to bury the hatchet and that’s why Michał will compete at the Szczecin’s event. What’s more, I can already disclose that our agreement is for more than one bout and we will soon announce Materla’s next title defense. It is a rare situation where everyone is the winner – the fighter, the promoters and last but not least the fans.
