Olympic Medalist vs. former KSW Champion set for KSW 41

Damian Janikowski (1-0) makes his highly anticipated sophomore visit to the cage at KSW 41 on December 23rd in Katowice, Poland and he will face an extremely tough challenge in former KSW champion Antoni Chmielewski (32-16).

Janikowski took bronze in wrestling at the London 2012 Olympics and made his professional MMA debut earlier this year at the record setting KSW 39 event in front of almost 58,000 people. Here the 28-year-old put in a flawless performance against American veteran Julio Gallegos overwhelming him with knee and strikes in the first round to win by TKO. A lot of hype surrounds Janikowski now following this victory and his Olympic pedigree.

A winner of the KSW 2 & 3 tournaments, Chmielewski has been competing professionally in MMA since 2003 and holds career wins over the likes of Dion Staring, James Zikic and KSW veteran Lukasz Jurkowski. The 35-year-old is known for being durable and very well rounded with the ability to finish a fight standing or on the ground. He is however most dangerous on the deck and has an impressive 18 wins by a variety of submissions.

KSW 41 will be headlined by a welterweight title superfight between champion Borys Mankowski (19-6-1) and P4P top South African fighter & two-weight EFC champion Dricus du Plessis (11-1) and infamous Rapper Popek Monster (3-2) faces famous Polish actor Tomasz Oswiecinski (0-0) who is making his anticipated MMA debut in this heavyweight co-main event.

KSW 41 will be available to watch live from anywhere in the world on www.KSWTV.com
