Pudzian talks his trainings in American Top Team
The biggest European show KSW will once again visit Lodz on November 26th with its seventeenth show titled Revenge. In one of the headlining fights former five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski will rematch the Englishman James Thompson.
Pudzian left the cold autumn Poland and traveled to the United States to spend his training camp in the legendary American Top Team gym in Coconut Creek Florida. – No disrespect to Polish MMA gyms and coaches, but MMA in the US is on a much higher level. They are basically the leaders of the sport – Pudzianowski says.
We all know that poor conditioning has been Mariusz’s Achilles’ heel so far. He lost to both Tim Sylvia and Thompson in the first encounter due to severe cardio problems. That is why Pudzianowski decided to move his preparations for the rematch to the new environment, where not only he can work on his conditioning, but also improve his stand-up and grappling skills. – In American Top Team I don’t focus exclusively on my cardio. I work on the all aspects of the MMA craft. As I said many times, I’m at the beginning of my MMA career, so I have to improve constantly in all areas – He explains.
Whether it is in Poland or in the USA Pudzian’s daily schedule is always tight. – I wake up at 7 am and I jog for forty-five minutes. I have wrestling classes at 10, muay thai at 1 pm and Brazilian jiu jitsu at 6, all this six days a week – Mariusz tells us.
As you can read the Pole’s preparations for the rematch are at full speed. We hope that this time Mariusz will prove all his antagonists wrong and show the MMA world what he’s capable of.
