This Saturday at KSW 55 in Lodz, Poland top Romanian fighter Ion Surdu (10-2) will made his promotional debut. The 25-year-old will face Poland's Tomasz Romanowski (9-7) in the KSW welterweight division.

Surdu is one of Europe's most exciting rising prospects with seven TKO/KO wins and is a champion of the RXF promotion in Romania. Training out of Cluj-Napoca in Transylvania, Surdu is hoping to make a successful debut in KSW and introduce himself to the international MMA audience. 

However, standing in his way is experienced MMA veteran Tomasz Romanowski. Despite his mixed record of 9-7, Romanowski has proved himself to be an extremely tough opponent for anyone in the welterweight division. The Polish fighter will also make his KSW debut after winning the extremely popular KSW reality TV show 'Tylko Jeden' (translated to 'Only One') in which he defeated several other fighters to win a contract.

KSW 55 will be headlined by a rematch between KSW middleweight champion Scott Askham (19-4) and KSW legend Mamed Khalidov (34-7-2) and Serbia's Aleksandar 'Joker' Ilic (12-3) meets former KSW champion Michal Materla (28-7) in the co-main event.
