Sweden's Andreas Gustafsson to make his KSW debut this weekend

This Saturday at KSW 55 in Lodz, Poland undefeated Swedish fighter Andreas Gustfasson Berg (6-0) will make his KSW debut in the middleweight division. The 29-year-old will face Poland's Damian Janikowsiki (4-3), an Olympic bronze medalist in wrestling at London 2012, live to fans around the world on www.KSWTV.com

Fighting out of Västerås, Sweden, Gustafsson made his pro MMA debut in early 2019 after a successful amateur career winning a silver medal representing Sweden at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Championships in Bahrain. Since turning professional he has risen to become one of the hottest prospects in Europe winning five of his six contests by way of stoppage and defeating more experienced fighters along the way.

Now he will make his debut for Europe's largest MMA organisation and will aim to recreate the same success as his namesake Alexander Gustafsson, who also fought for KSW in the past, and make a name for himself on the international scene.

However, standing in his way is Polish sporting hero Damian Janikowski. The 31-year-old had a glittering wrestling career winning medals at the World & European Championships as well as winning Bronze at the Olympic games. Janikowski made his MMA debut in 2017 in front of 57,766 people at KSW 39 - a record breaking audience for an MMA event - and has since established himself as one of KSW's most exciting fighters albeit finding mixed success against vastly more experienced fighters.
