"The sparring against Najman will definitely happen" – interview with Krzysztof Kulak
The fourteenth installment of the biggest MMA show in Europe – Martial Arts Confrontation is only two weeks away. The card is full of really intriguing bouts and a stacked lightweight tournament. In one of the featured fights the most experienced Polish MMA fighter Krzysztof Kulak will square off against other KSW Team member Daniel Dowda. Here’s the short interview with the popular “Model”.
Your fight against Daniel is in a few days. How are your preparations going? Is the training camp going at full speed now?
- Yes. The last three weeks are always the toughest, with the hardest sparrings and conditioning trainings.
How will your last days before the fight look like?
- My last days before the fight usually consist of light trainings, body regeneration and carbo charging.
Are you free of injuries?
- I have the left knee injured, broken toes in the right foot, light concussion, strained neck and sprained thumbs. Additionally my spine aches me from time to time.
KSW 14 card is full of exciting match-ups, one of them is a showdown between Jan Blachowicz and Daniel Tabera. What can you say about this fight, who will be victorious?
- Janek will win via decision.
The rivalry between Przemyslaw Saleta and Marcin Najman is very heated. What’s your prediction in this fight?
- Saleta will torture Najman for two rounds and then he’ll knock him out!
Since we’re talking about Marcin Najman, I’ll ask about the sparring you both arranged at the KSW 14 press conference. Has it already happened?
- Not yet, but I’ll definitely happen. For sure without media, so no one will make a mistake that he is an actual fighter.
The KSW 14 main event will feature Mariusz Pudzianowski against former US boxer Erick Butterbean Esch. Who will win this one?
- It will be a tough ride for Mariusz, but I hope he wins.
The eight man tournaments are the standard at KSW shows, this time the lightweights has their time to shine. What can you say about the line-up?
- The line-up is very strong. If the tournament has a proper draw, every fight is guaranteed to be a war! I’m training with Borys Mankowski right now, so I bet on him... provided that he doesn’t choke under pressure or he’s not overly confident.
Could you name the two fighters who will reach the final?
- I can’t answer this question.
