Two ex-challengers for the championship belt of KSW and PFL are scheduled to collide in the main event of KSW 97
KSW 97 will take place on August 24th in Poland. The main event of the night will feature a clash between the ex-challenger for the KSW heavyweight belt against the ex-challenger for the same trophy in PFL.
Fans taking part in KSW 97 in Tarnów shall witness a royal division bout between Szymon Bajor (25-10, 11 KO, 9 Sub), the number two of the division and Matheus Scheffel (17-11, 1 NC, 12 KO), the former challenger for the heavyweight championship belt of Professional Fighters League ranked as number nine. Bajor gained his experience not only in Poland, but also in Japan, Wales, Russia, Germany and Slovakia. He fought for various organizations like PFL or Rizin. However, before joining KSW, Scheffel performed mostly in Brazil or USA, but also in China or Wales.
The co-main event of the night shall feature two former challengers for the light heavyweight title. Damian Piwowarczyk (8-3, 4 KO, 3 Sub) ranked as number one shall face Marcin Wójcik (19-9, 11 KO, 6 Sub), the number two of the division. Piwowarczyk managed to finish as many as seven of his opponents in his eight victories. In KSW, he received three bonuses – two for the KO of the night and one for the best submission. In his career, Wójcik managed to finish seventeen of his opponents – putting eleven of them on canvass and submitting the other six. His accolades include championship belts of FEN and Gladiator Arena.
The other co-main event of the night will be a confrontation between two European talents from the younger generation. Adam Soldaev (8-2, 5 KO, 1 Sub), the number six of KSW featherweight division, shall face the Moldovan Daniel Tărchila (8-2, 2 KO, 3 Sub) who’s only 20 years old.
The fight card of the upcoming KSW event shall include other clashes between brilliant MMA fighters from Europe and other continents. In a bantamweight bout, the Ukrainian Oleksii Polishchuk (12-4, 3 KO, 6 Sub), the number three of that division, shall welcome the experienced Brazilian Bruno Azavedo (20-4, 2 KO, 14 Sub) into the organization. Muslim Tulshaev (11-3, 3 KO, 5 Sub) representing Germany who beat six of his opponents in the first round shall face Marcin Krakowiak (13-4, 5 KO, 6 Sub) ranked as number five in KSW welterweight division. The Venezuelan Erianny Castaneda (5-4, 4 KO, 1 Sub) is about to face Wiktoria Czyżewska (3-1, 3 KO). David Hošek, the knockout artist from the Czech Republic shall go up against Albert Odzimkowski (14-7, 1 NC, 6 KO, 7 Sub). Finally, Alvin Lowenski (7-4, 6 KO) representing France is about to face Krystian Blezień (8-4, 1 NC, 3 KO, 2 Sub).
Viewers from Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia can watch KSW 97 on Viaplay.
