Two Exciting Bouts Added to KSW 48
Two exciting bouts have been added to KSW 48 in Lublin, Poland on April 27.
The hard hitting Gracjan Szadzinski (8-2) will face submission specialist Marian Ziolkowski (20-7-1) while Filip Wolanski (11-3) welcome’s Croatian prospect Filip Pejic (13-2-2) to KSW.
Szadzinski and Ziolkowski were originally scheduled to face each other at KSW 46 this past December but will now lock horns at KSW 48 in a mouth watering battle in the lightweight division. Szadzinski is coming off a devastating knockout win over UFC and Bellator veteran Paul Redmond and has won his past three fights.
’The Golden Boy’ Ziolkowski joined KSW last year stepping in on very short notice to face Kleber Koike Erbst at KSW 44 and it proved to be a task too far for the 28-year-old. However, he bounced back and showed what he is capable of when he has a full camp behind him when he out-classed former title challenger Grzegorz Szulakowski in his next fight.
In the featherweight division we have a very interesting match-up in the featherweight division between the well-rounded Filip Wolanski and KO artist Filip Pejic.
Wolanski joined the promotion in 2016 while on an eight-fight-win-streak and so far in his KSW career the 27-year-old has went 2-2 but has faced nothing but tough opposition. In his last fight he won fight of the night honours in a decision loss against Daniel Torres but now he will be looking to do one better and get back in the win column.
Peljic comes into KSW with a fierce reputation of knocking his opponents out. The 26-year-old has eight TKO wins and an overall finishing rate of 85% making him an extremely dangerous opponent. Despite being only 26 he has already competed once in the UFC and has registered wins over tough opponents like James Brum, Fabiano Silva, and Ahmed Vila. Now he will aim to be the first man to finish Wolanski by TKO and introduce himself to KSW fans in a memorable way.
The main event of KSW 48 will see undefeated French sensation Salahdine Parnasse (12-0-1) face top Polish prospect Roman Szymanski (11-4) for the interim KSW featherweight title and the co-main event will see a rematch between KSW legend Lukasz Jukowski (16-11) and Stjepen Bekavac (19-9).
The event will also be available to watch live around the world via online PPV on www.KSWTV.com.
