Participants of XTB KSW 96 shall witness an exciting fight between two fighters considered to be new prospects of European MMA. The undefeated Frenchman Hugo Deux (3-0, 1 KO) will face Nicolae Bivol (4-1, 1 KO, 2 Sub) from Moldova. This lightweight bout will take place on July 20^th in Sport Arena in Łódź.

Hugo Deux has three professional MMA bouts under his belt. In his debut at Strife in 2022, he managed to finish his opponent. His next bout took place in February 2023 and it was also concluded with Deux’s victory. His third fight was his debut in KSW in which he beat Gino van Steenis. The Frenchman resides in Warsaw, Poland and he started his career by training judo at the age of six. Before becoming a professional MMA fighter, he managed to win four semi-pro confrontations. He also spent quite some time in Thailand accumulating experience by taking part in muay thai competitions.

Nicolae Bivol made his debut as a pro MMA fighter last year. He stepped in the cage twice within two months and he managed to win both times. His next bout took place in February 2024 and it also ended with his victory. In April, he made his debut in KSW at the event in Paris and it was the first time he had to accept defeat, but he got back on the right course just two months later at a Hexagon MMA event. The Moldovian fighter managed to finish three of his opponents, winning twice by submission and once by knockout.
